Dictionary — JMdict
This site uses the JMdict dictionary files. These files are the property of the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, and are used in conformance with the Group's licence (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0).
Pitch accents & word frequency — Kanjium
Pitch-accent data and word-frequency rankings are derived from the Kanjium project by Uros Ozvatic, released under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license.
MoraFlow's word data
MoraFlow combines JMdict and Kanjium with its own additions and corrections (readings, accents, meanings and conjugation accents). As required by those sources' licenses, this combined word data is shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. This applies to the word data only, not to MoraFlow's software, design, audio or exercises.
JLPT word lists
JLPT level lists are based on the lists by Jonathan Waller at tanos.co.uk, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution. The JLPT does not publish official vocabulary lists; levels are approximate.
Example sentences — Tatoeba
Some example sentences come from Tatoeba, a collection of sentences and translations contributed by its members, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 France. In the app, these sentences are marked “Tatoeba” and link to their original page, which credits each sentence's author. Some sentences were edited to fit MoraFlow's style.
Sentence accent analysis — UniDic
Pitch accents of words inside example sentences were analyzed with the help of UniDic, developed by the National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL).
Voices — VOICEVOX
MoraFlow's Japanese audio was created with VOICEVOX.
